Cooking Class for Adults

Cooking classes are tailored to seasonal dishes and cooking techniques to expose folks to local and seasonal tastes.

Instructor

Mary Ann Boothroyd brings her culinary skills to our community in the form of adult cooking classes where hands-on learning takes place in our newly renovated kitchen. Mary Ann is the former owner of Saparitos in Hull and Hola in Marshfield.

Come Play Family Class

Attention all parents & caregivers who love to play & explore: Please join Danielle Hoffman & Staff at the SSCC Gym. Drop in (not drop off) with your child and explore our Gym Dandy tot-sized equipment in the SSCC Gym.

***PLEASE NOTE*** The Come Play is suitable for children who are crawling & up to Preschool age only. The equipment provided is for toddler use & NOT APPROPRIATE for children older than 5 years. No child older than 5 will be allowed to participate.

Cost for each day is $10 at door for first child, each additional sibling $5.

Little Dippers

SSCC offers the Little Dippers Program for 2023-2024 in our Discovery Room and Gymnasium.

This is NOT an SSCC Nursery School program.

September 2023 to June 2024

Class Time: 8:45am to 10:45am
Tuition Schedule:

  • One day: $160 per month
  • Two days: $320 per month
  • Three days $480 per month

Class Description

This Play Group is ideally suited for children ages 24 months to 3.5 years old. The program will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday Mornings under the direction of Danielle Hoffman, SSCC Gymnastic Director and Staff.

This Program requires a one-year commitment, and you may choose one, two or all three days. The children will spend time in the gymnasium enjoying free play and structured play in our Discovery Room.

Children must bring a labeled water bottle and a snack (NO PEANUT / SHELLFISH FREE). A $75 deposit is required to hold your child’s spot. This is a one-time fee for each individual day. This $75 will be used towards supplies. We are only taking 8 children per day for this program.

STEM Classes

Class Descriptions

STEMPlay utilizes LEGO Spike Essential Educational kits to educate, entertain, and engage children ages 6-11. Participants in our programs will build working robotic models with motors, lights, sensors, and sounds. They will learn how to write a program to interact with this model by using icon and word block coding. While doing so, participants will learn how to solve problems, communicate, and collaborate with others.
